The Defence School Mentor (DSM) program has been a valued part of South Coogee Public School since 2004. Due to the close proximity to Randwick Barracks, Victoria Barracks and Garden Island, we have a significant number of students enrolled whose parents are serving members of the Australian Defence Force.
The role of the DSM is to provide support to the children and their families to assist with their integration into the school, managing parental absences due to service commitments and deployments, and to assist with the transitioning from SCPS to another locality.
