Kindergarten
Choosing a school for your child is an exciting milestone, and we want every family joining our school community to feel welcomed, informed and confident from the very beginning.
At South Coogee Public School, we provide opportunities for families to discover our school, meet our staff and learn more about the experiences we offer our students. Our school tours, Open Day, information sessions and orientation program are designed to help children become familiar with their new surroundings and give families a genuine sense of our school community.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to South Coogee Public School and sharing what makes our school such a special place to learn, grow and belong.

Date: Wednesday 20 May 2026
Families preparing for their child to begin Kindergarten in 2027 are warmly invited to visit our Kindergarten classrooms and discover what the first year of school looks like at South Coogee Public School.
Come along to meet our staff, explore the learning environment and find out how we support children as they take their first steps into primary school. It’s a wonderful opportunity to ask questions, gain practical information and see how we nurture curiosity, confidence and a love of learning from the very beginning.
Students and their families enrolled at South Coogee Public School will participate in two on-site orientation sessions. During these visits, students will have the opportunity to play, meet their teachers and peers, and take part in engaging classroom activities. Parents and carers will attend information sessions in the library, where they will learn more about the school, meet key staff members and receive important information about the transition to school, including key dates and school procedures.
